Passions That Pay

I have been a big fan of survivor since it began. I really enjoy watching the interactions between the contestants. There was a very special lesson presented yesterday in the form of Denise, the lunch lady. Although I recognize there was a certain amount of gameplay involved, I do believe that Denise really thought that at 40 years of age, winning Survivor was her last chance to escape her $7 an hour job. Denise was one of the 3 most popular Survivors as voted by internet voters. Viewers saw her shine unexpectedly as she demonstrated her karate to expert proponents of the Martial Art. She embraced every opportunity that came her way including dinner at the Great Wall. Denise has the ability to really move people, to talk to people and to motivate them in a way that the famous gurus could not. She has a HUGE future ahead of her. The only thing standing in her way is herself. If she is convinced that she is “just a lunch lady” then that will be her future. If, on the other hand, she takes the drive that led her to enter Survivor in the first place and that quality of character that attracted the show’s producers in the first place then there is no limit on how far she could go.
