You will hear me talk time and time again about how important it is that you have a support group - a group of people who have your best interests at heart, who will be positive and enthusiastic, who will encourage you to follow you dreams and help you gain all that you need to be successful. This group can be online or offline or a mixture of both. They could all know each other or you could have separate people who form a group only in your mind.
I have always considered my own support group to be a bright light in my life so that got me thinking what other kinds of light my support group could be represented by.
A support group is a like a lighthouse - the members know where the rocks are and can warn you where not to go.
A support group is like a flashlight - lighting up the next few steps ahead when all around you is dark.
A support group is like a desk lamp - the people illuminate things you need to know.
A support group is like an otoscope - they can see things you can’t and spot the problems so you can fix them.
A support group is like a spotlight - they spend time focused on you and help you to shine.
A support group is like a candle - a soft and flattering light to make you look your best.
A support group is like a camera light - bringing your dreams into reality.

I LOVE that you’ve compared a support group to lights. I especially love the lighthouse analogy… gotta watch those rocks - and sure helps to know people who have already charted those waters

This is certainly a welcome. As I listened to you today on the webinar with Lynn and have now read ‘Why you need a support group’ I see you as someone who is very positive.

Thank you Glessie. I am a very positive person and I love my life. I am living my passions both in my work life and as a mother and have set it as my mission in life to help others get to the place of joy in which I live my life each and every day because I CHOOSE to do so.
