Give me a stock clerk with a goal and I’ll give you a man who will make history. Give me a man with no goals and I’ll give you a stock clerk. J. C. Penney
With the time pressures that modern society puts on us today, it is more important than ever to learn to work smarter not harder. One terrific tool to have in your arsenal is Mark Joyner’s Simpleology . Incredibly, the first and to my mind most important part is free. Simpleology 101 takes you through a simple, five minute a day course to teach you the rudiments of this goal setting system and then provides you with free tools to keep you on track. We all think we know how to set goals but I really believe a system like this is necessary for us to actually do what we know works. 15 minutes a day spent doing the various daily praxis will make anyone much more productive and I recommend Simpleology to all my clients.
The course can appear a little goofy at times - I would recommend you make sure you are alone before attempting some of the exercises such as the one where you try to stab a hole in a piece of paper with a spoon but this just makes the lessons all the more memorable. It is tempting to do more than one lesson a day but for the lessons to have their full impact and really sink in, it is best to follow the instructions to the letter.
So head out to Simpleology and sign up for a free account and watch your productivity go up.
I would love to hear from you if you have used Simpleology. Did you love it as much as I do or maybe you hated it! Whichever camp you fall into, add your comments.
I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
- The best blogging techniques.
- How to get traffic to your blog.
- How to turn your blog into money.
I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.

I have learned quite a bit from the teachings and marketing advice I gleaned from Mark Joyner’s work. I read “the Great Formula” which is a collection of writings by Mark Joyner and other marketers that is very useful. He talks about customer value and back end sales.
Simpleology, however, is not one that I had the patience to work with. Perhaps I’ll take another look.
The best advice I’ve been given is not to schedule too many things to do in one day. Often, we spend time on tasks that are not the highest priority. It is best to select the three most important tasks, get them done, and consider your day productive.
