One of the stronger features in Facebook to my mind is the groups and networks feature. You can join networks based on geographical location, your workplace or where you went to high school or college. Groups on the other hand can be based upon anything at all that you feel you may have in common with someone else! Fans or haters of slugs (yes those slimy gastropods) can choose from 323 groups and internet business 130 results (go figure that slugs would be more popular!
Again, use caution before joining every group that catches your eye. It would be very easy to be overwhelmed, and leave groups quickly if they do not provide you with good use of your time. It is very easy to get side-tracked when building a business.Get recommendations from your friends as to which groups they find useful.
So far I have to say I am enjoying Facebook and are therefore more motivated to spend time here than I was with LinkedIn. Time will tell which in the final analysis will be of better value to my coaching business. Jenn Givler, an awesome business coach who helps her clients with the mindset traps that keep them stuck has had great success with Facebook so it will be very interesting to see what comes out of it. Let us try to persuade Jenn to tell us some of her strategies that she used on Facebook!
