Great post!
I agree! I can't stand when people start talking about stupid stuff. And great point about not wanting to work with someone who is posting dumb things.

Great Job!

To make it nice and short:

3 things: I agree with all 3, in particular with 3.1; 3.3 I'm giggling most of the time anyway...

2 things: I don't take any notice... and I do whine a lot. That saves me whining to my dog or my cat, and so few people are listening anyway...

1 way: as I said to a Twitterer yesterday, either I don't follow spammers, or I block them altogether.

I felt Twitter was frustrating to start with, but I'm getting to have a small conversation group, so that's nice. And I've started cleaning up my own Tweets, so that I can leave only those I consider the best. Just in case...

I agree that I don't follow people who have an obvious agenda to promote their business. I don't mind those who have a name related to their brand or online persona, unless all their tweets are all about them. If it's all strictly links to their projects and they aren't adding anything of personal value then I don't follow.

All in all though, twitter is a great way to touch base with friends and meet new people.

I love questions and open (group) conversations too. But like you I dont like the closed discussions between 2 people that flood the screen. I also dont like condescending CRAP (= quick unfollow!).

I enjoy links, resources, polls and humor!

I like it when people show interest in others as opposed to always tweeting about their own things.

I have to admit that I do sometimes see Twitter as a quick place to vent, but I don't enjoy seeing people who go overboard with it either.

Twitter is a teeny glimpse of life - if you whine all the time on Twitter, what is the rest of your life like?
