Passions That Pay

My goals in January were two-fold.

My first focus is always on serving my community. Last month I focussed on getting to the nitty gritty of some search engine optimization and I wrote several posts explaining in plain English on various aspects of ranking well in the search engines. I lined up guests for my blogtalkradio show starting this month.

My second focus is to attract more people into my community. I set goals for myself to take measures to drive targeted traffic to my blog. I comment on other blogs, have an email signature and have just started blogging carnivals thanks to the advice of Jenn and the help of Teresa - I will definitely be commenting on my experience with them at the end of February.

I rarely get everything on my goal list done. I am a single mother of 3 and my life just isn’t that predictable. I do assess either on my own or with a friend why I didn’t do such and such, always without judgment. I then see if there are structures I can put in place that will help me. Then it is time to move onwards and upwards with my new goals.
