An exciting week ahead

September 15th, 2008 · 5 Comments

I am really looking forward to this week. I turn 40 on Wednesday! Whoohoooo!! When I look back at my thirties and see how they started off pretty badly then just got better and better as I edged closer to 40, I can’t help but to be excited as to what my forties will bring. I love that there has been a shift in attitude and that we no longer feel the dread of middle age.

So how am I celebrating?

On Wednesday which is my actual birthday, I am holding a teleseminar of a project I am more excited about than anything I have ever done. It is called Coach your Brain – go from stuck to success and when people hear just how powerful and effective it is, they are going to be JUST as excited as I am. For more details on how to join the free teleseminar and to sign up for the recording (again free) go to http://coachyourbrain.com/stay-tuned

In the evening I am heading out to the best Chinese restaurant in Madison with my children for crispy duck with pancakes. Yum!

Then on Friday, I am having a birthday bash on my Blogtalkradio show The Passion Project, where we will be discussing just how great life really can be after 40 with Boomer Diva, Beverly Mahone

So make me even more excited by sharing with me what you have gained from growing older. Comment below!

Happy Birthday, Katherine! I’m turning 40 this month too, so thanks for the opportunity to spotlight what’s great about gaining another year of maturity.

One thing I especially love about getting older is a better understanding of what really matters (to me) in life. Or said another way, it’s a more authentic definition of success that I’m gaining as time goes on.

That alone is worth blowing out an extra candle every year! lol

    Happy birthday, again, Katherine!

    1) You don’t give a da*n of what other people think about you.
    2) You are more relaxed
    3) You know that everything in life is just temporary 4) You know there is no “never” or “always”
    5) You accept other people for what they are (as opposed to what you think they should be)

I do enjoy my live more now.

Jeanette – Happy Birthday to you too!

Susanne- wow great reasons – I love especially the realization that everything in life is temporary – puts life in a whole new perspective!

    Happy Birthday Katherine ~

Truely there are many things that are great about getting older. I agree with all the things Susanne said. I find that I’m more and more comfortable in my own skin. I value who I am and don’t ever try to be like someone else. I cherish all the wisdom I’ve gained over the years just from life experience.

My forties were great and my fifties are even better!

All the best to you Katherine.

    Happy Birthday Katherine!!

The best thing about getting older is the breadth of the friendships you have in your life. I’m so pleased to have you in mine.

Happy 40! KR. Life does get better as you slide into your 40s with grace, charm and self-confidence … knowing that you are simply the Best. Enjoy sweetie!

    Warmly,
    Judith
